Comply With Auditing Standards

Audit Assistant is based around NZ versions of International Auditing Standards.Content is flexible and may be updated by the user or by us on user feedback or as new standards come on stream (International Versions are planned).

Each page has an Aim and a Conclusion.Conclusions are carried through automatically to higher level pages and pages cannot be concluded until all sub-pages and work items are completed. Page A1 forms the 'trunk' from the 'branches' grow.

Links to Online Standards

Work-papers are linked to online copies of Standards. 

Audit Assistant also contains checklists for NZ Financial Reporting Standards(NZIFRS still in progress).  Checklists are comprehensive and cross-referenced to the standard with on-line links via NZICA website.

Updated Content

New pages are added without the need to reinstall or update your software in any way. As new standards are released or updated, you will be notified on the specific page that a new version is available and why. The user may preview, chose to adopt or maintain the current version.

We are also continually adding new content based on feedback from users and submitted ideas.We encourage user input and see Audit Assistant as a collaborative project, where we supply the platform and basic content but users are encouraged to participate.


Flexibility

Work-books are configured so that work flows through the requirements of the Standards in a logical, intuitive manner. Content is entirely flexible depending on the scale and complexity of the job.

Pages are provided for every Auditing Standard.Custom templates have been created for specific types of jobs, but users may create their own or customise existing work-papers (training is available). 

Work-papers are available for Review Engagements, Real Estate Trust Account audits, Company audits, Non-Profit Organisation audits and School audits (for firms contracted with the Office of the NZ Auditor General) plus a generic General template for other audit jobs (more will be added).
